The Ancient Temples of Angkor: Part 2

This post gives a detailed view of several carvings throughout the Angkor temples. There are literally tens of thousands of these carvings. To contemplate the labor is awesome.





These are Apsara dancers, the traditional dancers of the Khmer empire.  This is the same dance form that the girls at the orphanage study daily.


Being a thespian, I was naturally drawn to taking snapshots of these carvings up close and capturing them as if they were theatrical masks...
