My classes at Santiphab High School

This is Level 7, Section 1 at Santiphab High School.  There are 18 sections of Level 7 and most  have about 30-40 students.  This class was a perfect size of about 20 students.  Every student in this class won a scholarship to study at Santiphab by passing a test.  They come from provinces outside of Luang Prabang town and live in dormitories at the school.  May do not see their families for most of the year, which for a Laos person is a major sacrifice.

I already miss the enthusiasm of these students.  There is nothing like teaching to a room full of students who truly want to learn... we had an amazing ride!

After classes I tutored individually in the library.  This student wanted to know all about how to talk about different religions of the world in English.

Michelle is another visiting teacher who was also tutoring in the library.

This was my Level 2, Section 3 class.  They were a big, lively bunch who surprised me with a gift and a big a card that says: "Kop Jai Lai Lai" which means "Thank You Very Much."

This is Mr. Boun Khen whose classes I taught.

From my small class of 20 students I received a stack of beautiful letters.  Here are two that I want to share:

In my last lesson we were learning conditional verb forms ("If" and "could/would").  One of my students wrote this sentence as his example:
